Both families and the angels form a bond of friendship and love that exemplifies the Christmas spirit. It was the very first Christmas stocking given as a gift to the baby Jesus. Each family member proceeds to give a coin to Mary, who then places them in the stocking with care. When they finally reach Bethlehem, the family meets Mary and Joseph, the parents of Jesus. The gifts of truth, forgiveness and love are just some of the labels on the seven coins. Each of the seven coins has a different gift written on it representing what is within each person’s heart. As they begin their journey, following the Bethlehem star, they discover that the coins are no longer blank. Gabe and Gabriella give each member of the family a blank coin that is to be given as a gift to the newborn child. Upon arrival, the angels meet a shepherd’s family and tell them the good news of a child to be born in the town of Bethlehem. Two young angels, Gabriel and Gabriella, haphazardly fly down from the heavens on a shooting star, crashing in a meadow. Author Terry Paul LaFargue captures the warmth of the original Christmas story with a modern twist the whole family can enjoy. It is a new and creative holiday story whose roots are nestled sweetly in tradition. THE VERY FIRST CHRISTMAS STOCKING and The Gifts of the Seven Coins
